Online gambling licences in Belgium
In Belgium, only the Gaming Commission can authorise an online gambling site. This page reproduces its register of additional online licences, synchronised every day, and explains how to read it.

Three online licences
- A+: online casino games (table games, casino slots, poker), reserved for the holder of an A licence, meaning a land-based casino;
- B+: online games of the gaming arcade type, reserved for the holder of a B licence;
- F1+: online sports and horse race betting, reserved for the holder of an F1 licence.
Each holder may only obtain one additional licence per physical licence, for games of the same nature as those it offers in the real world.
One domain per licence
Since 1 September 2024, two licences of different classes may not share the same domain name or player account, and an operator may not redirect a player to the games of another licence. One brand may therefore run three separate sites: casino, gaming arcade and betting.
How to check a site
Only the exact domain on the list counts. A .com site bearing the name of a Belgian brand is not covered by the licence. Check the expiry date too: an expired licence is no longer an authorisation.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between A+ and B+?
A+ covers online casino games and belongs to a land-based casino. B+ covers games of the gaming arcade type and belongs to the holder of a gaming arcade.
How many A+ online casinos are there?
Their number is capped by the number of land-based casinos, which cannot exceed nine in Belgium. The register on this page gives today's exact list.
Can a .com site hold a Belgian licence?
The licence covers a specific domain. A site whose domain is not on the list is not licensed, even if it bears a well-known brand.
What happens when a licence expires?
The site is no longer licensed. In this guide, it automatically loses its rating, its ranking position and its links.
Does the Gaming Commission still come under the Justice department?
Since 1 June 2026, the Gaming Commission has been established within the Federal Public Service Economy.
