Our review of Wellington Casino

Wellington Casino is an online gaming site licensed by the Belgian Gaming Commission under a B+ licence since October 2023, run by the Belgian company Sonic and linked to the Brussels gaming hall Le Versailles Palace. • High online withdrawal cap: 10,000 euros according to the FAQ
  • Withdrawals possible at a physical gaming hall, up to 3,000 euros
  • Sign-up with itsme and automatic identity verification
  • The operator charges nothing on deposits or withdrawals

Cons

  • Only five deposit methods and no e-wallet
  • 20 euro minimum withdrawal, higher than the minimum deposit
  • Customer service limited to a form, with no published opening hours
  • Contradictory figures on the size of the catalogue
  • No iOS or Android app

Wellington Casino in brief: our view

Wellington Casino takes its name and styling from the Duke of Wellington and the Battle of Waterloo, a historical thread the operator plays up on its games page.

Behind the theme, the set-up is plain: a Belgian B+ casino with no app, which mainly stands out for high withdrawal caps and a short list of payment methods.

It is run by Sonic, which also operates another site on the same technical platform. Wellington Casino nonetheless has its own licence, its own domain and its own terms, which we review separately here.

How we checked

On 7 October 2026 we reread the online help, the terms and conditions, the contact page, the responsible gaming page, the Live category and the Belgian Gaming Commission's lists.

We hold no account with the operator, so every timing quoted is an announced timing, never one we observed.

We read Wellington Casino as a site built for the player who pays by Bancontact or card and cares about high withdrawal caps. For anything else, its short list of payment methods and support limited to a form look to us like its real weaknesses.

Wellington Casino licence and player protection

What the register says

What the register says

The domain wellington-casino.be is on the Gaming Commission's B+ list in the name of Sonic SA. The licence is linked to the Le Versailles Palace gaming arcade in Brussels. The licence number and expiry date appear in the fact sheet on this page, updated daily from the register.

You can check the entry yourself on the Gaming Commission's list of B+ licences (official source, opens in a new tab). According to the site footer, permission to operate the domain dates from 18 October 2023.

The same footer states that the gaming platform is supplied by LOR Invest SRL, holder of a class E licence.

Beware of lookalike addresses

One detail deserves attention: the FAQ on the licence spells the site address without its hyphen, and a domain imitating the brand appears on the Gaming Commission's blacklist (official source, opens in a new tab). The only authorised domain is wellington-casino.be, with a hyphen.

Opening and verifying an account

To open an account you must be 21, must not work in a profession barred from gambling (police officer or notary, for example) and must give your national register number, which ensures one account per person.

Identity is checked only once, and signing up with itsme makes the check automatic. According to the FAQ, the money in your player account is held in Belgium, and payouts appear on your statement in the name of Sonic S.A.

Tools to keep play under control

The responsible gaming page lists three settings in your account, plus a tool that automatically shows your spending and playing time:

  1. the reality check message, which you set yourself;
  2. downtime, to suspend your access for a period you choose;
  3. spending limits, which take effect immediately when lowered, according to the terms.
Wellington Casino responsible gaming page on a phone: reality check, downtime and spending limits
The three control tools announced by the operator, checked on 7 October 2026

A self-exclusion chosen on the site cannot be cancelled before it ends, the FAQ says. To exclude yourself from every licensed operator at once, the Gaming Commission offers a voluntary access ban request (official source, opens in a new tab).

If gambling is causing problems, gokhulp.be (official source, opens in a new tab) (Dutch) and joueurs.aide-en-ligne.be (official source, opens in a new tab) (French) provide free, anonymous help, and the 0800 35 777 helpline answers day and night.

Our verdict: Safety and licence

8.0out of 10

Sonic SA's B+ licence runs until 2031, sign-up works through itsme or a one-off check, and player money is held in Belgium. Reality check, downtime and spending limits are in place. Two reservations: the FAQ spells the address without its hyphen, and a domain imitating the brand is on the blacklist.

Wellington Casino withdrawals: timings and conditions

A bank transfer in two stages

The FAQ describes a bank transfer withdrawal in two stages. The operator first processes the request, generally within 24 business hours; your bank then credits the money, normally within a maximum of 48 business hours.

You receive one e-mail when the request is being processed and another when the payment is sent, and you can follow its status in the My money section.

Wellington Casino FAQ on a phone: online and in-hall withdrawal caps, and bank transfer timing
Withdrawal caps and timing published in the operator's help pages, checked on 7 October 2026

Instant payments and manual checks

The terms add detail. Where technical conditions allow, instant payments between 10 and 499 euros are sent automatically about an hour after the request, with no more than three instant payments per 24 hours.

From 500 euros, a manual check comes before the transfer. The operator guarantees none of these timings.

There is also an inconsistency: the terms mention payments from 10 euros, yet set the minimum withdrawal at 20 euros.

The amounts involved

Enhanced checksabove 2,000 eurosterms
Caps the operator may imposeat least 500 euros a day, 1,000 a week, 5,000 a monthterms
Operator feesnoneterms

The gap between the FAQ's 10,000 euros and the discretionary caps in the terms is real: the operator reserves the right to limit withdrawals depending on circumstances.

Under the terms, an investigation into play can also delay a payment by up to 90 business days. In-hall collection exists, but the FAQ does not name the halls involved or give a timing for that option.

Strengths

  • Two tracking e-mails and a status shown in My money
  • Instant payments of 10 to 499 euros where technology allows

Weaknesses

  • No more than three instant payments per 24 hours
  • Manual check from 500 euros
  • Halls and timing for in-hall collection not published
  • Investigations of up to 90 business days

Our verdict: Withdrawals

6.5out of 10

Transfers are processed within 24 business hours according to the operator, with no fees, in-hall collection up to 3,000 euros and an online cap of 10,000 euros. The 20 euro minimum, the discretionary caps and investigations of up to 90 business days in the terms weigh on this criterion, as does the lack of a published timing for in-hall collection.

Deposits at Wellington Casino: five accepted methods

A short list

The list is short. The FAQ names five ways to fund an account, all based on a card or a prepaid code; there is no e-wallet, no Apple Pay and no instant bank transfer such as Brite.

Wellington Casino FAQ on a phone: the five deposit methods, from Bancontact to Visa Debit
Deposit methods listed in the operator's help pages, checked on 7 October 2026

The minimum deposit is 10 euros, and the FAQ and article 11.3 of the terms agree on this. The operator takes no commission on deposits. The legal limit applies as everywhere: 200 euros per week per site by default.

To raise it, you use the deposit tab; the Gaming Commission reviews the request and refuses it if you are registered as a defaulter with the National Bank's Central Individual Credit Register. The terms announce processing within 72 hours.

A clause worth knowing

The terms allow a 15% administration fee on any deposit or withdrawal not made for the purpose of playing. A player account is not a bank account: do not leave money there that you do not intend to play with.

Only five deposit methods are offered: Bancontact, Bancontact via HiPay, Paysafecard, Visa Debit and Mastercard Debit, with no e-wallet at all. The 10 euro minimum deposit, free of fees, is on the other hand confirmed by both the FAQ and the terms.

The Wellington Casino games catalogue

How many games, exactly?

The online casino page contradicts itself: one paragraph announces more than 250 games, and a few lines later more than 1,000. The sitemap settles it, with 954 French-language game pages on 7 October 2026. No slot total is published.

The categories menu has eleven sections: online roulette, dice slots, online dice games, online blackjack, video poker, card games, online jackpots, slots, We Suggest, hall games and Live. Each section lists games twelve at a time, with no total.

Games exclusive to Wellington Casino

Four BetSoft games carried an « EXCLU » badge in the lobby on 8 October 2026: The VIP, Birds in The City and 3 Pots of Venice among the dice slots, and Gold Nugget Rush 2 in the slots row. All four are machines; none is a table game.

Nothing explains what the badge means. We saw it on the same titles at Versailles Casino, also run by Sonic SA on the same platform, so the exclusivity looks like a group arrangement rather than something specific to Wellington Casino.

The lobby opens with several rows picked by the operator. On 8 October the « Popular » row held Mega Wheels and Volt XXXtreme from Air Dice, Gates of Olympus Dice and Sweet Bonanza 1000 Dice from Pragmatic, Aztec Dice and 40 King from Amusnet, and Fortune Coins Unlimited Fortune from Tada Gaming.

The « Wellington Crush » row is dominated by Air Dice (Forever Dice Max, Pure Deluxe, Mystery Deal, Coco Craze), with 40 Joker Roll from EGT Digital and Magnetic Coins Dice from BF Games.

The hall games section gathers E-Gaming titles that also stand in the gaming halls: Triple Wild Seven, After Dark, Treasure Cubes, MultiDice 81 and Pearl Dice. It lets a player find online a machine already known from a hall.

The Wellington Casino Live category

On the day of our check the Live category held 12 titles. Eight are automated roulette wheels: five Stakelogic settings (Cool Ice, Burgundy, Black Gold, Emerald, in classic or standard versions) and three Pragmatic wheels (Auto Roulette, Speed Auto Roulette, Auto Mega Roulette).

The other four are BlackjackX tables numbered 1 to 4. The site does not say which ones have a dealer. It is a side offer rather than a full live casino, which matches the scope of a B+ licence. We saw no sports betting.

Video poker, card games and other games at Wellington Casino

For players who skip the dice games, three other sections take over:

  • video poker: Caribbean Stud Poker from Habanero, Turbo Poker and Three Cards from Wazdan, The Saloon from WorldMatch;
  • card games: Midnight Blackjack from Air Dice, Black Jack Single Pro from WorldMatch, American BlackJack and Multihand Blackjack from Pragmatic, Blackjack Twins and Crazy Twins from Gaming1;
  • online roulette: electronic wheels such as American Roulette from Bgaming or Gold Roulette from Wazdan, next to the automated ones.

The sitemap also lists a few short games, such as Crash Dice and Plinko Dice from Tada Gaming, without a category of their own. We found no game show, bingo, keno or virtual sports: BetSoft's « The game show » is a machine.

Wellington Casino game providers

The providers carousel shows 23 studios, including Betsoft, Air Dice, Amusnet, WorldMatch, Synot, Tada Gaming, Gaming1, TrueOdds, Kajot, BF Games, Pragmatic Play, Endorphina and EGT Digital.

The terms refer to the theoretical return to player set by each provider, without publishing an average. Every round is independent and random, as the FAQ itself tells a player who is not winning.

The dice slots page includes a section on « strategies » meant to improve your chances. We do not repeat it: no way of playing changes the outcome of a random draw.

Our verdict: Games

6.8out of 10

The sitemap counts 954 game pages and the carousel 23 providers, with a Live category of 12 titles split between automated roulette and BlackjackX. The games page contradicts itself on the size of the catalogue (more than 250, then more than 1,000 games), and no average RTP is published.

Wellington Casino on a smartphone

The site in your browser

The operator has no app: none is linked from the site and we found none published by Sonic. The games page says you can play from a computer, a tablet or a smartphone.

On our phone-sized screenshots the site displays properly, with a navigation bar at the bottom of the screen and FAQ answers that open with a tap.

Two practical notes

On a first visit, a cookie banner covers the bottom of the screen until you make a choice. And the FAQ recommends Chrome or Firefox and a stable connection for launching games.

Our verdict: Mobile

5.5out of 10

The site is usable on a phone according to our screenshots and the games page. The licence holder publishes no app, however, and a cookie banner covers the screen on a first visit.

Wellington Casino customer service

A form as the only channel

Customer service is reached through a form (first name, surname, e-mail address, message and an optional attachment). The contact page mentions no chat, no phone line and no opening hours, and the FAQ gives no response time.

On languages, the terms mention forms in French, Dutch and English, and the site itself is available in all three.

The complaints procedure

Complaints follow a strict procedure: no later than seven days after the event, through the help tab or by e-mail, with handling announced within 72 business hours, plus 72 hours if a game provider has to check.

You can also complain to the Gaming Commission, giving your surname, first name and date of birth.

Our verdict: Customer service

5.0out of 10

Only a contact form is offered, with no published hours or response time, and no chat is mentioned. The forms exist in French, Dutch and English according to the terms, the main positive point in this chapter.

The Wellington Casino offer: Wellington Club, Dukes and jackpots

Pages reread and the FAQ's answer

Checked on 8 October 2026: the Wellington Club page, articles 11.5 and 11.6 of the terms, the FAQ, the jackpot games page and the Jackpot BF GAMES page.

There is no sign-up advantage. Asked about it, the FAQ itself replies that the B+ licence does not allow one, though it wrongly dates the ban to 1 March 2020.

The mechanisms on display

MechanismHow the operator describes itPublished conditions
Wellington Club and DukesDukes earned on every eligible real-money stake, turned into euros by the Dukes Converter1 Duke per 10 euros staked in a session on dice games and slots, 1 per 30 euros on roulette, video poker and blackjack; 100 Dukes for 1 euro

Dukes statusAdvantages tied to a status category whose tiers are not publishedStatus falls back to zero once 365 consecutive days pass without a credited deposit
Duke BoosterA temporary multiplier on Dukes for certain gamesConditions announced in advance; none visible without an account when we checked
Tournaments and prize drops (article 11.6 of the terms)Provider operations with extra rewardsRules on the site or in the game; none published when we visited
Jackpot BF GAMESA progressive jackpot shared by a selection of BF Games titles, fed by a contribution from every stakePaid out entirely at random, whatever the stake
Jackpot LotusA pot built into the Air Dice game Black LotusOpen at every stake level according to the suggestions page; chance alone decides
Progressive slotsOnline Jackpot category: every stake feeds a shared potRules specific to each title; outcome always random

What article 60 calls into question

Five of these mechanisms raise a legal question that we cannot settle:

  • Wellington Club: an advantage that rises with the amount staked, which falls squarely within article 60;
  • Extra Payout: the Gaming Commission only accepts a higher payout rate when it is written into the game rules and applies to everyone;
  • Dukes status: a behaviour-based criterion that article 60 does not allow as grounds for an advantage;
  • Duke Booster: the Gaming Commission rejects an advantage presented as available for a limited period;
  • tournaments and prize drops: their compatibility with article 60 is not established.

Jackpots and Dukes: our notes

On the jackpot page, the operator publishes winner testimonials and advises matching the stake to the size of the pot. We reproduce neither, because no stake makes a jackpot more predictable, and we quote no amounts.

Nobody can predict when a jackpot drops: it is a game feature, and chance alone decides the moment.

Dukes themselves cannot be withdrawn or staked; only the euros from a conversion follow the withdrawal rules of article 11.3.

Wellington Casino publishes no mobile app, so there is no advantage attached to downloading an app or logging in through one.

Thorough but one-sided terms

The terms are thorough: deposit limit, identification, withdrawals, a 14-day cancellation right, complaints, with the French version prevailing.

They are also heavily weighted towards the operator, which keeps wide room for manoeuvre on caps and payment timings.

Strengths

  • No sign-up advantage displayed
  • Dukes conversion rate published

Weaknesses

  • A FAQ question headed with a welcome bonus that does not exist
  • Winner testimonials on the jackpot page
  • Dukes status tiers not published

Our verdict: Offer and terms

5.0out of 10

No advantage is granted at sign-up, but one FAQ question is headed with a welcome bonus that does not exist and a line on the site invites players to enjoy special offers. The Wellington Club, with convertible Dukes, a status system and temporary boosters, raises a serious question of compliance with article 60, and the terms remain heavily weighted towards the operator.

Our final verdict on Wellington Casino

Who it is for

Wellington Casino is aimed at a player in Belgium who pays by Bancontact or card, wants an authorised B+ site and values a high online withdrawal cap, with the option of collecting at a hall. Signing up with itsme and the absence of fees keep things simple.

Who should look elsewhere

Look elsewhere if you want an e-wallet, an app, a chat or support with published hours, or if a 20 euro minimum withdrawal bothers you.

Before any deposit, read the caps and timings in the terms, and remember that gambling does not make money over time.

Between the 10,000 euros announced in the FAQ and the caps the terms allow, we go by the terms, because they are what applies. Wellington Casino remains an authorised site with no fees, but we expect customer service that is easier to reach.

Frequently asked questions about Wellington Casino

Is Wellington Casino licensed in Belgium?

Yes. The domain wellington-casino.be is on the Gaming Commission's B+ list in the name of Sonic SA, with a future expiry date as of 7 October 2026. Watch out for lookalike addresses: only the domain with a hyphen is authorised.

How long does a Wellington Casino withdrawal take?

According to the operator, a bank transfer is processed within 24 business hours, then credited by your bank within a maximum of 48 business hours. These timings were announced on 7 October 2026 and were not measured by us.

What are the minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts?

10 euros per deposit and 20 euros per withdrawal, according to the terms. The FAQ confirms the 10 euro minimum deposit.

Which payment methods does Wellington Casino accept?

For deposits: Bancontact, Bancontact via HiPay, Paysafecard, Mastercard Debit and Visa Debit. For withdrawals: bank transfer, or cash at a physical hall up to 3,000 euros.

What games does Wellington Casino offer?

The sitemap lists 954 game pages from 23 providers on 7 October 2026. Most are dice slots and dice games, alongside video poker, card games, roulette and a Live category of 12 titles (automated roulette and BlackjackX). The lobby has no game shows, bingo or virtual sports.

Why does Wellington Casino not offer a welcome bonus?

Article 60 of the Act of 7 May 1999 has prohibited any bonus at Belgian operators since 1 September 2024. Wellington Casino points this out in its own FAQ. The site also presents the Wellington Club, where Dukes awarded on stakes convert into euros (100 Dukes for 1 euro); article 60 regulates this kind of advantage and we have not verified its compliance.

Is there a Wellington Casino app?

No. The site works in your phone's browser; we found no iOS or Android app published by the operator.

How can I limit my play or exclude myself?

In your account: spending limits, downtime and reality check. To be excluded from every site and hall, request a voluntary access ban from the Gaming Commission. Help: 0800 35 777, gokhulp.be or joueurs.aide-en-ligne.be.
